Schertz Information
Schertz is a city in Guadalupe County and a portion located in Bexar County
in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2000 census, the city population was
18,694. It is generally considered part of the larger San Antonio metropolitan

Public education in Schertz is provided through the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal
City Independent School District (SCUCISD) which is composed of the neighboring
towns of Schertz, Cibolo, and Universal City.
The area has undergone significant growth in recent years, necessitating the

High School (in Cibolo) to supplant the already existing Samuel Clemens High
School which is located in Schertz.
